People come to therapy for many different reasons---a life crisis, relationship problems, behavioral changes that they want help in making, early family relationships that are causing difficulty, or just because they feel stuck and want assistance in sorting out some issues.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with training in multiple disciplines of psychotherapy. In addition I have a previous background of 20+ years working as a nurse in medical family practice and I bring that holistic approach as an additional source of insight. I am also affiliated with New Life Ministries as a counselor. My desire is to provide a safe, honest and non-judgmental environment where we can explore your concerns together as you progressively work towards resolution and growth.
For work with couples, I am trained in the Prepare and Enrich Assessment.
During the course of therapy, I will draw on various psychological approaches according to the problem that is being treated, such as psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, experiential and psycho-educational.
