The Bay Area is fast paced. As a result, our emotional lives and intimate relationships can often be strained. I offer a safe and confidential place to look inward and explore where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’d like to go. Each client’s concerns and therapeutic goals are tailored to specific needs.
I specialize in working with individuals and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma and issues with relationships.
In my work with clients, I draw from narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic/object relations, and family systems orientations. I also find the practice of mindfulness to be a helpful tool when used in conjunction with other interventions. I am certified by EMDRIA in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), an integrative psychotherapy treatment for trauma and negative life experiences. In addition, as a EMDR consultant in training (CIT), I provide consultation to clinicians seeking EMDR certification with EMDRIA.
I serve as adjunct faculty at Western Seminary and William Jessup University training the next generation of mental health professionals. I am also a Ph.D. in Counselor Education student at Oregon State University.
