Cindy Sung

Not Taking New Clients

Cindy Sung was born and raised in Hong Kong. As a Chinese immigrant herself and working in the mental health field for over 20 years, she understands the stigma of mental illness and that cultural differences can have significant impact on clients resulting in their not seeking early intervention services. As a clinical social worker, Cindy's personal belief is that the general public should value their mental health as much as their physical health and consider going in for an annual check-up. With her bi-cultural sensitivity and keen grasp of the Chinese language, Cindy provides a safe environment for individual adults and couples seeking psychotherapy services to alleviate their difficulties.

Cindy completed her Bachelor of Social Welfare and Master of Social Welfare degrees at the University of California, Berkeley. She currently serves women and minorities, immigrants, older adults, and people with disabilities. She also provides workshops on mental health education and related issues. She provides services in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
