Not Taking New Clients

Raising a child in today’s modern complex world can be a challenge.   At my practice, I focus on supporting children and adolescents, educators and parents, bringing with me over 6 years of experiences of working in schools, non-profit settings, and private practices.  I specialize in working with children and adolescents who are experiencing anxiety, stress, and depression and also children who struggle with impulsive or anger issues.  In addition, I have extensive experience supporting families going through life transitions and working with children and adolescents who are experiencing grief.  I specialize in working with preschool-aged children using a hybrid therapy approach, which combines parenting and family support with play therapy-based sessions for the child.

As a former educator, I have a strong understanding of the demands and limitations our education system places on children/educators and have extensive experience providing classroom support and guidance to parents and educators.  One of my passions in therapy is working with educators who are experiencing stress, anxiety, or trauma due to their jobs and responsibilities in the classroom.  Educators often times do not receive the respect and support that they deserve and my office offers a safe space to explore the challenges of being an educator in today’s world.  My therapy style is warm and inviting and I work from a client-centered approach.  As a therapist, I feel honored and privileged to be able to journey with my clients through the ups and downs of life.  I know that seeking therapy for yourself or your child can often be a scary step so I commend you for this brave decision and honor the steps that you have taken to get to this point.
